The Origins

Concepts
Ionic Command: The core of the magic, Ionic Command allows the Tempest - or Squall mage - to generate lightning, to control it, and to resist its damaging effects upon their own being. The Mark of Squall infers the ability for Tempests to control the electronegativity of atoms on a massive scale, altering their own body to be capable of naturally conducting electricity, while equally becoming capable of inferring this shift onto designated areas or foes. Given the atomic nature of this Concept, Squall can be very volatile, a mage spending much of their time not learning to unleash more power, but to safely and precisely harness it.
Tempest's Eye: Each Squall mage acts as an elemental axis for wind and lightning, winds naturally appearing to pick up where they go, storms and their strikes honing in on them more closely. This is due to the atomic manipulation of their own cells, partially, but also the divine nature of the Mark of Control.
Initiation
A Tempest - the name of a practitioner of Squall - is made by being struck by an arc of lightning, infused with the ether of the initiating mage. WIP.
Overstepping
The drawbacks listed below do not always come in pairs, and certainly not simultaneously. Some may come and others may not.

Moderate: Bleeding through the nose, eyes and ears, intense cramps, seizure-like shocks and spasms, internal bleeding, vomiting and weakness
