Here is compiled a list of the playable races available to registered users in Atharen.
Arkanai: A people fallen from their old bonds, once tied to Muid and the God of Time. They have since found a new purpose: to live, survive, and explore the world.
Druskai: A nautical race born of the will of a wrathful God. Divided and set adrift, tied to two uneven corners of the world and eternally at war, the Druskai are the terror of the world's seas.
Dunash: Atharen's youngest race, the Dunash were crafted within Y'shendra's Umbral Heart, forged to be a race truly teetering the line between life and undeath.
Fae'Norai: Found once as abandoned and scattered seeds, the Fae'Norai - or Fae - were embraced by an Elven God, and were made to prosper and belong. The Fae are a race of plant-like beings, known to wear disguises as second skins.
Gnomes: Gnomes are the open and innovative people from the mountains of Rokhan. From their sole stronghold of Dagrun, they continue to shape the technology of the world.
Human: The dominant race of Atharen. Humanity is responsible for shaping much of the world's recent and some of its ancient history. For better or worse, the world would not be the place it is today without them.
Hyr'Norai: Atharen's very first mortal race, the Hyr'norai have been blessed with light internal to their beings, and time to walk the world and experience it all. The High Elves are an ancient and proud people. With history stretching back to the enigmatic Age of Lost Time, they remain a people of grace, retaining it despite the tragedies of old.
Kohrun: Bonded to the Dead Realm and bound to cycles of unending life, the Kohrún act as Y'shendra's first progeny after her corruption, manifesting their deathly bond through an apparition known as the Neverborn.
Krish: Hailing from the treacherous Outlands, the Krish are a violent, disciplined, war-like people known to be Atharen's most hated scourge. Invading other planes aboard skybound vessels called Harbingers, their history of tyranny makes their very appearance one that invokes dread.
Moroi: Their home lost beyond distant stars, the Moroi voyaged to Atharen from afar, learning to seek out a new fate within the confines of their strange, but broad new home.
Orkhai: Crafted in Bel to serve as pawns in the Endless War, the warriors of the Infernal Plane found their way onto the Atharen main. Since then, their relentless and valorous nature has led to the acquisition of a new home for their kind, which spins in an eternal cycle of concession and dominance over enemy Clans.
Sil'Norai: None have fallen further from the heights of grace than the Lord Elves, who have endured a long march through all of the pains of history. A people of a monumental past, once dominating the world, they have since been confined to a realm corroded by ethereal rot, subjected to the will of a terrible new race.
Tiveran: Dwellers of the Shattered Isles, the Tiveran people are descendants of one of Atharen's greatest blights, a primeval race of chiropterans known as Ravanians. Though loathed by many on the continent, their grip across the seas of Atharen and its many archipelago has only expanded through the millennia, and they will forever be known as the scourge of the sea.
Velsign: The runaway slaves; an aloof race of giant winged folk that makes their home in the inhospitable summits of Atharen's heights. Born from Lorien's fallen Kindred, they wither away to the volatile ether that binds their flesh, and fall victim to the rot that accompanies their individual strength.
